CBD for Beauty: How it Benefits You

The world is abuzz about CBD oil and it’s easy to see why. With no side effects and a bounty of benefits from the inside out, CBD oil (or cannabinoid oil) is changing the way we treat ourselves.

With healing properties, CBD oil has been on the scene for a while now, offering a non-psychoactive alternative to medical marijuana for relief of aches, pains, and other chronic illnesses But in more recent years, CBD has found its way onto the skincare scene and into beauty products from soaps to lotions and from lip balms to mascara.

It’s not just some trendy fad either. With research behind it, it looks like CBD is here to stay, and we’re rolling out the red carpet. Doctors, scientists, and yes, even dermatologists are firmly behind the movement. Dr. Debra Jaliman, a board-certified dermatologist advocates for the use of CBD for hair and skin citing its richness in key vitamins include A, C, and E.

Vitamin A helps reawaken skin cells to keep them healthy while vitamin C promotes collagen production and reduces visible signs of aging. Vitamin E is a known free radical fighter which prevents oxidization of skin cells. This holy trinity of skin boosters is what has head the beauty industry turning on its heels and working to get more CBD-infused beauty products on the market.

While anti-aging is one of the biggest concerns for consumers today, there’s an entire other segment with equal importance. Those with acne-prone skin can find incredible relief with CBD oil for beauty. CBD is a known antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent, and because of this power, it calms overactive sebaceous glands. In doing so, it helps skin control oil which stops the clogging of the pores and ends the vicious acne cycle. Naturally, this has those with sensitive skin and skin conditions excited too. It’s gentle enough for them to use, soothing redness and irritation.

Better hair days are also on the horizon with CBD. With a rich content of fatty acids and amino acids, it helps to enhance hair growth by stimulating the scalp. It also keeps hair moisturized, a very good thing for dried-out tresses.

After getting to the roots of beauty with CBD oil, makeup infused with it is becoming more widely available. It’s not about being on-trend, but rather, finding a natural ingredient that can satisfy the needs of vegan consumers too. Milk Makeup released Kush Mascara for that very reason. The brand recently renovated its product line to be completely vegan. Beeswax was a former inclusion which needed replacing to be vegan-friendly. Enter CBD oil, which provides conditioning and nourishing in a completely plant-based format.

Essentially, CBD oil in beauty products does a lot of good for your skin, hair, makeup routine, and the environment, something all of us can benefit from.
